HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Malaysia Fahad bin Mohammed Kafood said that the State of Qatar is moving forward in promoting workers' rights, as the previous stage witnessed a remarkable development in promoting and protecting the rights of expatriate workers. The abolition of the sponsorship system and its replacement with a contractual system, the abolition of legal restrictions related to changing jobs between different employers, as well as the enactment of a law setting a minimum wage, in addition to the issuance of many decisions and enactment laws in order to preserve the health and well-being of all workers in the State of Qatar are among the changes.

In statements to an online Malaysian newspaper FMT, His Excellency explained that on the sidelines of the opening of the Road to 2022 exhibition, organized by the embassy in Malaysia's Pavilion Mall, that State of Qatar has achieved many records in hosting the FIFA 2022 World Cup, which is the first World Cup to be held from November to December, and the first in the Middle East, in addition to the stadiums' proximity to each other, with distances of no more than 25 kilometers, as football fans will able to take the Metro to transfer from one stadium to another in just a few minutes.

He added that the designs of the sports fields attract attention, and Malaysians can now enjoy the opportunity to view the models of these stadiums at the Road to 2022 exhibition, organized by the embassy.

His Excellency described the engineering design of the stadiums as really wonderful, pointing out Lusail Stadium as not only beautiful but also contains solar panels to generate clean energy, so it not only provides energy for itself, but also provides for the city of Lusail. He also included that Al-Bayt Stadium looks like a Bedouin tent, the Education City Stadium is scheduled to become an educational city after the tournament, where there are schools and kindergartens on an area of 12 square kilometers, and then there is the waterfront of Ras Abu Aboud Stadium with a surrounding lake in Doha, which is 100 percent ready.

HE the Ambassador affirmed that the State of Qatar invested huge sums to host the World Cup to build and renovate the eight stadiums, and that six stadiums are ready while two others are about to be completed. These will be more than just football fields, and fans will sit in an air-conditioned lounge, as well as players will play in air-conditioned squares whose roofs can be closed to keep the air cool, HE referring to Al Bayt Stadium which contains luxury suites where visitors can stay for the duration of the World Cup and go out to their balcony to watch the matches.
