Qatar Museums' Culture Pass members, get ready for a month full of events!

Qatar Museums (QM) recently announced that there will be tours to be offered in the month of February for Culture Pass members. These tours will fall under the Menthaar programme. 

The Menthaar programme is a year-long programme aiming to introduce Culture Pass Plus and Culture Family members to Qatar’s projects to build a sustainable future. The Menthaar programme holds a series of tours, webinars, talks, and workshops with the purpose to educate about Qatar’s heritage, culture, and environment. 

Qatar Museums’  Museum Affairs Deputy CEO Aisha Al-Khater said: “Menthaar is a newly launched programme that invites Culture Pass and Culture Pass Plus members to learn more about the exciting projects across Doha that are contributing to Qatar’s overall sustainability strategy to secure a greener future. We encourage our valued members to sign up to one or more of these offerings to explore more of Qatar’s sustainable initiatives,”   

Culture Pass members will have access to see Qatar throughout time, and they will be able to see its progression into the nation it is right now after the oil discovery. Members will appreciate vintage cars collections, and cars especially customized for the harsh desert conditions, in addition to cars driven by Sheikh Faisal and his family. 

Stay tuned for the upcoming events from the Menthaar program, exclusive to Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Family: 

 

February 6th, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm & February 22nd, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm: A tour of The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassem Museum, considered to be one the world’s largest private museums. This tour is focused on the history of Qatari people and their lifestyles, it is going to focus on collectables from HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani and his family. 

February 11th, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm: A tour of the Education City Golf Club (ECGC), a landmark project located next to one of the World Cup stadiums. The ECGC is considered one of the most advanced golf facilities in the world. The tour will include all of the golf course including its facilities and amenities. 

• February 19th, 7:00 am to 9:00 am: A bird watching activity organized by Qatar Natural History Group Birdwatching. The peninsula of Qatar recorded more than 300 species of birds and is considered to be a migratory flyway. The tour will begin in Al Wakra, next to the beach to observe the water birds (waders), and proceed for a walk in the park to observe the passerines.
