All the residents in Qatar holding Culture Pass members, will now have an exciting opportunity to take part in a series of virtual and physical activities for April, which is organised by the Qatar Museums (QM).

Through an e-mail sent to all Culture Pass members on Sunday, QM noted that children can take part in the “Reading Goals Book Club”, an online monthly discussion and activity, and meet the author, enjoy a football inspired activity, and engage in a Generation Amazing football activity.

As a collaboration between the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Maktaba and Generation Amazing, each month, children who registered for the activities can come to the MIA Library to collect a free copy of the book every first Monday of every month at 4pm.
The QM is also inviting all the residents to a virtual program on April 12 titled ‘A Mughal Queen and her Manuscript: The Ramayana made for Hamida Banu Begum’ from 6pm-7pm to learn more about this remarkable manuscript, the project and the text and translation process.

This Ramadan, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ Museum) is all set to open its doors three nights per week, giving the visitors an insight to experience the spirit of the Holy month with their families in a mesmerising atmosphere, and learn more about the rich Qatari heritage and discover unique Islamic artifacts through marvelous objects and various sections at the museum, including the iconic Quran Room, and the Islamic Art section.

Meanwhile, the QM announced that the short film *AL-SIT won the Grand Prix, the top award at the Tampere International Film Festival, in Finland.
This makes the short film, which was an official selection at the Finnish film festival, eligible to enter the competition category for short films, at the Academy Awards.
Various exhibitions are still on the show such as ‘A Falcon’s Eye: Tribute to Sheikh Saoud al-Thani at the Museum of Islamic Art’, ‘Grey Times at the Doha Fire Station’, and ‘The New Black Vanguard: Photography Between Art And Fashion’ at M7, Msheireb Downtown Doha.
