Qatar Participates in Arab Conference of Heads of Drug Control Agencies

The State of Qatar took part in the 34th Arab Conference of Heads of Anti-Narcotics Agencies, which was held virtually on Tuesday.

The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by Maj. Mohammed Abdullah Mohammad Al Khater, the Director of Studies and International Affairs at the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement of the Ministry of Interior.

The meeting reviewed the plans and experiences of the member states in the fields of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, and in preparing awareness programs.

 

The participants also discussed the international developments in the field of drugs such as production centers, consumption patterns, smuggling methods, methods of combating and responding, the extent of their impact on the Arab region, and the results of Arab and international meetings in the field of drug control (2019-2020).
