The State of Qatar is participating in the meetings of the 44th session of the Board of Governors of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which are held via video conference technology, Wednesday and Thursday.

The State of Qatar is represented in the meetings by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic and Governor of the State of Qatar to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki.

In the meetings, the Board will discuss a number of issues on the agenda, the most important of which are the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on development and poverty alleviation processes in the poor and most fragile countries, and the re-election of the IFAD President for a new term that will last for the next four years.
