Qatar ranks number 1 for mobile internet speed globally

Qatar has been named the world leader in mobile internet speed by global speed test experts Ookla in their December 2020 rankings. 

In previous rankings, Qatar was the third with an average download speed of 178.01 Mbps and an average upload speed of 29.74Mbps. Global averages were listed as 47.20Mbps for download and 12.67Mbps for upload.

 

Qatar’s leading telecommunications operator has heavily invested in network expansion in recent years, pioneering the 5G revolution with the launch of its 5G network in 2018 and contributing to the country’s incredible connectivity. Which he is proud to see it pay off.
