Qatar Rated Among 'World's Best' in Healthcare System

According to the recent infographic post of the Government Communications Office (GCO), Qatar ranks highly on several key global healthcare metrics.

The country is consistently in the roster of the world's giants with futuristic approach in medical technology. GCO stressed that:

"Despite the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, #Qatar's investment in self-sufficiency in medicine and medical supplies has reinforced our efforts to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our citizens and residents."

Anchored by its advocacy to provide the best possible medical care to the community, it has been focused on intensifiying the increase of its medical facilities and services. It has also been cultivating a culture of research across diverese specializations.

Qatar ranks 1st for doctors per capita

With 77.4 physicians per 10,000 people according to the WHO, Qatar has the highest number of doctors per capita in the world.

Qatar ranks 4th for satisfaction with healthcare

Qatar has invested heavily in its health infrastructure, leading to one of the world's highest levels of population satisfaction according to the Legatum Institute.

Qatar ranks 5th for health

The 2019 Legatum Prosperity Rankings places Qatar in the top five globally for health , the highest in the region.

GCO furthered:

"The country has made great strides towards achieving 100% self-sufficiency in both medicines and medical supplies.”
