Qatar Stresses Commitment to Right to Education in 2030 National Vision

The State of Qatar stressed that it attributes a high priority to education in the Qatar National Vision 2030, focused on providing high-quality education to everyone that respects diversity while celebrating national traditions and religious values, while providing the opportunity for different communities to pursue the education adopted in their own countries, so that they can maintain their identity.

This came in the State of Qatar's speech given by Third Secretary at the State of Qatar's Permanent Mission in Geneva Abdullah Bahzad, during an interactive dialogue on the right to education.

He said that, as part of the efforts to find innovative solutions to challenges facing education at the international level, UNESCO Envoy for Basic and Higher Education and Chairperson of Qatar Foundation HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser launched the WISE international initiative in 2009.

He said that WISE is now an international platform for finding ideas to help societies overcome challenges facing the education sector, during its annual summit.
