Qatar Switch Off Lights for 'Earth Hour 2020'

Amid the threat of coronavirus pandemic with a record of 1 death and 28 new virus cases in Qatar, the country, yesterday, joined millions accross the world to switch off lights in observance of "Earth Hour 2020."
Initiated by the Earth Hour Organization and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the annual environmental campaign was held this year digitally due to the recent outbreak.
Here are some of the companies and organizations that pledged their support for the sustainable drive to raise awareness on climate change:

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA" switched off lights in its various buildings for an hour between 8:30 and 9:30 PM on Saturday evening of Earth Hour, said Qatar News Agency on Twitter.

The Italian Embassy contributed to protect the world with its continuous commitment to environmentally-friendly initiatives. All of its building's lights were unplugged.
