'The State of Qatar participated in the 54th regular session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers' via video conference yesterday.

H E Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health for the State of Qatar, led the delegation to the conference.

They addressed a range of important issues during the conference, the most important of which are the health effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the Arab region, as well as Arab-American cooperation in the war against coronavirus, Arab-Chinese cooperation in the health sector, and the Arab Transport Ministers' Council Decision No. 488 on the resumption and recovery of services.

The meeting also addressed the Arab national Action Plan for displaced and asylum-seekers in the Arab region's access to public health facilities, the standardization of Arab health laws, strengthening maternal, child, and teenage health, and the Arab policy the aged, health, and the environment.
