According to the latest tweet of Marsal Qatar Network, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) unveiled the new series of Qatari Riyal banknotes today at a press conference held at its headquarters.

The new notes will come into circulation on Qatar National Day (18th of December, 2020).

Old banknotes can be exchanged through local banks in three (3) months and after that from Qatar central bank.

Current banknotes will be withdrawn within 90 days from the date of issue

 - And there are 3 more months, to withdraw it from the public

 - The holder of the banknote is also entitled to exchange it from the Central Bank until 2030

QCB also unveiled a new QR200 banknote as part of the 5th series of Qatari Riyal banknotes.
