Pursuant to the latest developments, the Qatar University administration decided to postpone the event of French Cultural Week for an indefinite period of time, QU has announced on its Twitter handle.

Qatar University has postponed the French Cultural Week event indefinitely, in the wake of latest developments related to the deliberate abuse of Islam and its symbols.

In a tweet, the QU said, "Pursuant to the latest developments related to the deliberate abuse of Islam and its symbols, the Qatar University administration decided to postpone the French Cultural Week event indefinitely."

"In this regard, the university administration affirms that any infringement of the Islamic faith, sacred things and symbols is completely unacceptable, as these offenses harm the universal human values ​​and the higher moral principles that all contemporary societies affirm."
