Qatar University signs MoU to enhance partnership with Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy

Qatar University (QU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy, which includes joint cooperation in the fields of education, training, research, and development.

The memorandum was signed by Dr. Hassan Rashid Al-Derham, President of Qatar University, and Commander of Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy Brig. Gen. Khalid Nasser Al Hajri, in the presence of a number of university officials, in addition to a delegation from the Naval Academy.

In his speech on the occasion, Dr. Hassan praised the constructive cooperation between Qatar University and Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy, stressing the university’s endeavor to provide its scientific and academic expertise to support these important national institutions and mentioned that he is witnessing great development by the military in Qatar, including naval, air force, and Police.

Dr. Al-Derham added that the academies of the military sector play a very important role in providing security to the country and opens doors for Qatar University to provide it’s academic, scientific, and research experience to this military institute.

In his speech on the occasion, Nasser Al-Hajri praised the role that Qatar University plays in national development at all levels and appreciated the university graduates. This agreement will enhance the relationship between our institution and Qatar University.

 

The agreement includes cooperation between the two sides in the field of exchanging experiences and information, including publications, periodicals, studies and statistics, organizing conferences, meetings, and training, research and studies, and cooperation in other possible fields. The agreement also included the possibility of forming working committees and joint teams by holding meetings to coordinate in areas that fall within the scope of this memorandum.
