Qatar has initiated the use of drones in an effort to raise awareness on the coronavirus (Covid-19) threat to the community.

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) is launching the campaign with drones equipped with loudspeakers to broadcast awareness messages around the country.

The flying devices with built-in speakers, will announce messages highlighting the importance of following precationary measures to prevent the virus spread.

Reminding people to stay at home and avoid gatherings and prayers on the roofs of buildings, the messages are translated in different languages, such as English, Urdu, Hindi, Nepalese, Malayalam.

Other languages to be followed by different community members in the state.
