Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD) reported today that the temperature now in Qatar is ranging between 20-22 °C  and the lowest temperature recorded this morning was 19 °C  in Al jumayliyah.

There has also been thick fog formation in some areas of the country. The weather official warns people to take caution as it is causing zero visibility at times.

QMD also stated that Qatar has partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chance of rain that becomes thundery at times. It added that the wind Northwesterly-Northeasterly light to moderate becomes fresh at times. It also reminds the public of the continue marine warning with thunder rain excepted and strong winds with high sea.

Dense fog continues to exist in the southwestern regions of the country, and it is expected to gradually dissipate over the next hour, QMD advises everyoe to be careful.

Chances of scattered rain continues in intermittent periods

According to the latest updates of weather charts, the weatherr is expected to continue partly cloudy to cloudy today as a result of the extension of upper level trough of low pressure system that is concentrated over the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula, and the chances of scattered rain will continue in intermittent periods as it may turn to thundery rain at some places and vaarying in intensity and may be accompanied by strong wind which leads to blowing dust and low visibility at times.

Marine warning expected today with thundery rain accompanied by strong wind and high seas. Qatar Meteorological Department urges all to be careful and to avoid all marine activities during the warning period as well as to follow latest updates through its official accounts.
