The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported that there are 286 new cases of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and 152 individuals have so far recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 212,048. Among the new 286 Covid-19 cases, 171 have been infected from the community and 115 contacted the virus while traveling from abroad.
MOPH also reported that there are no deaths in the country today, as the total death toll stays at 552. Two individuals were admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) over the last 24 hours, and therefore, 147 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU. Five individuals were hospitalised due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, which takes the overall number of patients in the hospital currently to 236. The total number of current active cases in Qatar is 4,083 and the overall number of Covid-19 cases reported in the region so286 far is 216,683.
3,847 individuals were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours, and a total of 14,776 tests were done during the past 24 hours. The total tests done so far is 2,009,716 tests. 37,765 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours. The overall number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 2,440,930.

As the cases of Covid-19 rapidly increases in the State of Qatar, it is significant for all individual to contribute their effective part in curbing the virus by adhering to the mandatory preventive measures imposed by the government:
• Maintaining safe and social distances in the public arenas.
• Must avoid close contact with others individual who are in crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
• Wearing a face mask at all times.
• Washing and sanitising hands at regular intervals.
