Acting Charge d'Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Republic of El Salvador Tariq Othman Al Othman participated in the launching event of a development impact accelerator lab in Guatemala. The United Nations Development Program's (UNDP) accelerator lab is supported by the State of Qatar.

Held at the Foreign Ministry, the event was attended by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala Pedro Brolo, and a number of ranking officials.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala thanked the State of Qatar as a strategic ally of the development impact accelerator lab network around the globe, pointing to the importance of launching the lab as a significant tool to achieve development in Guatemala.

For his part, Al Othman affirmed in his speech the importance of the initiative to address the challenges affecting the quality of our societies' life, noting that the State of Qatar is committed to contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals through its support for the development impact accelerator labs around the globe.
