Qatari athletes leave for Arab Championship in Cairo

A strong Qatari team is all set to participate in the Arab Championship which started since yesterday in Egypt in Cairo at the Olympic Center in Maadi. 
The Qatar shooters successfully completed their final training session at Lusail Shooting Range yesterday before their departure to Cairo for the 12-day tournaments.
Those promising Qatar stars taking part in this championship include Olympic medallist Nasser Al Attiyah, Saeed Abu Sharb, Ali Al Ishaq, Hassan Al Mannai, Rashid Saleh Hamad Al Atba, Masoud Saleh Hamad Al Athba, Muhammad Al Kuwari, Nasser Al Hamidi, Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Muhammad Dablan, Noura Al Ali, Reem Al Sharshani, Nasra Muhammad, Noura Al Mutawa, Aisha Al Suwaidi, Shahd Al Darwish, Mattar Al Asiri and Osama Abdelnasser Al Shaiba.
The team is led by Ibrahim Al Mohannadi, member of the National Teams Committee, and accompanied by Team Director Muhammad Ahmad Taher, and the delegation’s administrator Al Anoud Al Nuaimi, also a member National Teams Committee.
 
Ibrahim Al Mohannadi conceyed his firm stance and confidence in all the team enthusiasts taking part of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games. 
He said: "The aim will be to achieve the best results and to bag as many medals as possible," he said. He added that the team is committed to all health safety procedures and protocols for each championship due to the ongoing pandemic the world over.
Rashid Saleh Al Athba said that taking part in the championship will be the ultimate focus of each individual’s attention. Al Athba who secured a bronze medal at the World Cup last year, hoped to clinch gold at the tournament in Egypt. 
“We completed our preparations well and we all strive to gain confidence and improve our performance ahead of the Olympics,” he added.
