QC Inaugurates New Educational Projects in Somalia

Qatar Charity (QC) has taken the initiative to launch the Fateh Al-Andalus Educational Center in Galmudug State of Somalia, in a ceremony attended by the official and academic figures.
The ultimate goal of this Education center is to offer educational and cultural services and contribute to raising school attendance rates.
The center consist of a school with nine classrooms, offices, halls and a mosque. The number of beneficiaries is estimated at 350 male and female students. The location of this new significant project was chosen due to the regions urgent requirement for such services.
During the opening ceremony, Minister of State for Education in Galmudug State of Somalia Mursal Abd Adam conveyed his gratitude to the people of State of Qatar and the Qatari leadership for supporting the citizens of Somalia. He also praised Qatar Charity's role in supporting and strengthening the educational sector of his country by carrying out many educational and cultural projects in all the states of Somalia, with support from benefactors in Qatar.
 
QC has recently opened educational and development projects in the Somali city of Kismayo, in Jubaland state.
The first project is a multi-service center that includes a school, a mosque, a green square, a surface well, a clinic, a center for memorizing the Holy Qur'an and shops. The second project consists of houses for the poor that includes 24 housing units and a mosque.
