The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Doha (QFC) Branch has donated hundreds of thousands of medical gloves to Qatar Charity and Qatar Red Crescent Society as part of its national efforts to ensure people’s safety and to support the government’s guidance in these uniquely challenging circumstances.
The donation of 600,000 disposable medical gloves and 100,000 surgical gloves comes in line with ICBC Doha’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme to support the local community and to reduce the impact of coronavirus through health and hygiene measures to help reduce the shortage of personal protective equipment.
Zheng Chunyi, Managing Director of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), said: “In recognition of the dedication of the frontline workers who are fighting COVID-19 and their ongoing efforts to protect the Qatari community, ICBC is proud to support the country’s fight against the current pandemic. It is our core responsibility as a company operating in Qatar to offer our support to the community these difficult times.”
“Qatar Charity and Qatar Red Crescent are incredibly valuable resources for many different segments of society, and both organisations have taken on far greater responsibilities. We are very pleased to support our community during this challenging period, “he added.
