The Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Tajik Football Association signed a cooperation agreement today in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, with the agreement culminating in the success of long-term relations of joint cooperation between the two parties.
The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by HE President of the Qatar Football Association Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, and on the Tajik side, HE President of the Tajik Football Association, Rustam Imam Ali, who is also the mayor of Dushanbe.
The agreement included many key areas related to football, such as technical and professional exchange, national teams, exchange of experiences (including coach education and youth development), game development, player development, referee development, and other related areas that enhance cooperation frameworks between the two federations.
The agreement will run for five years and will see exchange of knowledge and experience, monitoring and loan programs, capacity building, training camps, and friendly matches among many other areas.
The President of the Qatar Football Association commented on the signing of the agreement, saying, "The official signing of the agreement with the Tajik Football Association is a very positive step towards the development of football, especially since both federations have enjoyed close relations that spanned for years."
He added that this agreement will pave the way for further strengthening the relations between our two federations and will play a major role in the development of football in both countries, stressing that all the resources of the Qatar Football Association will be harnessed to be at the disposal of the Tajik Federation, and that Qatari football expertise will be readily available to the Tajik side. Looking forward to the implementation of the agreement soon on the ground.
For his part, the President of the Tajik Football Association praised the State of Qatar, noting that it hosted the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and that the Qatari national football team won the 2019 Asian Cup.
The President of the Tajik Federation said, "It is a pleasure to meet you here in Dushanbe, and there is no doubt that Qatar today is one of the major powers in world football. I look forward to implementing this agreement and reaping the fruits of our cooperation in the near future," stressing that this agreement will be beneficial. The two unions are wonderful. (QNA)
