According to the latest weather report by Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD), the region is likely to witness dusty weather conditions at times until Monday evening.
The weather report on its social media account, also stated that the country is likely to be affected by a dust mass moving from the northeast Arabian Peninsula from Sunday evening until early Monday morning, with fresh to strong northwesterly winds blowing during the daytime.
The detailed forecast report also added that the dusty conditions or blowing dust is likely to blow in some areas during the daytime, leading to a decline in horizontal visibility to less than 2km in some places and zero visibility at times. Another dust mass is likely to form and move towards the country, and the dusty weather will continue until Tuesday evening.
QMD has called on all the public to be careful and follow instructions during dusty weather, and to follow the latest updates through its official accounts.
Meanwhile, today's weather forecast says that strong winds are likely to occur during the daytime in addition to the poor visibility. Offshore areas, too, are expected to witness windy conditions and high seas until tonight.
The wind (northwesterly) speed may go up to 30 knots inshore during the daytime and 25 knots offshore at times, with the sea level rising to 8ft.
The hot weather conditions will prevail along with blowing dust to dusty conditions in some places at times. Slight dust to dusty conditions are forecast in some offshore areas occasionally.
The temperature is likely to vary between 26 and 43C in Wakra and Mesaieed, 31 and 42C in Doha, 27 and 38C in Al Khor, 31 and 37C in Abu Samra, 31 and 34C in Dukhan and 31 and 33C in Ruwais.
Doha city and other parts of Qatar have been experiencing so far northwesterly fresh to strong winds (Bawarih) and dusty conditions over the past several days.
