QNB rejoices on being declared the official MEA supporter and Qatari bank of FIFA World Cup 2022

On Wednesday, QNB Group, one of the largest financial institutions in the Middle East and Africa, was announced as the Official Middle East and Africa (MEA) Supporter of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and the Official Qatari Bank of the tournament. 

As QNB dons the role of the official MEA sponsor of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Group would enjoy various assets and rights across the Region, including branding exposure in the Host Cities. 

With an extensive network of ATMs and branches across various locations, the Group will be the sole provider of on-site ATMs across the eight stadiums where the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is scheduled to kick off. 

One of the FIFA committee officials was quoted expressing her delight in welcoming the QNB Group to their team of Commercial Affiliates as a Regional Sponsor. She was confident of QNB’s assistance to fans during the FIFA World Cup, as it was a well-respected Qatari institution with many locations and financial facilities. 

QNB Group’s CEO, Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa said that this was a moment of pride for QNB. QNB’s experience as a valuable banking brand, across the Middle East and Africa, will prove influential in making the tournament a success that will be remembered for generations. 

Additionally, the agreement also covers the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup™, where QNB is participating as the Official Qatari Bank of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020™. The tournament, set to kick start in Doha, will see six of the world’s top teams come together to compete for the most prestigious honour in global club football, with matches taking place from 4 to 11 February 2021.
