QNL highlights on educational and cultural partnerships at SPIEF 2021

Qatar National Library (QNL) is taking part in the 24th St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2021, held from June 2 to 5.
 
The main theme of the forum is 'A Collective Reckoning of the New Global Economic Reality'. Its business programme focuses on the global and Russian economy, social issues and technological development.
 
As part of Qatar's participation, as the guest country at SPIEF 2021, QNL looks forward to expanding horizons of co-operation with the Russia in order to enhance the ability to achieve cultural and educational goals. The 2021 edition of the forum will be an ideal platform for QNL to hold meaningful discussions with global leaders in culture, heritage and education, focusing on the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on universities as well as the rise of digital technology.
 
 
QNL participation comes within a delegation of more than 500 individuals, which is one of the largest business delegations participating in the SPIEF, according to the Qatari-Russian Center for Joint Co-operation. The delegation of QNL includes Director of Research and Learning Services at QNL Abeer Saad al-Kuwari, Director of Strategic Planning and Projects Affairs Lulwa al-Nuaimi, Director of Historical Research and Partnerships Dr James Onley, and Senior Information Services librarian Munira al-Buainain.
 
The delegation will discuss opportunities for co-operation with Russia in the educational and cultural fields. The library delegation's work programme will talk about high-level discussions on education and culture, as well as visits to libraries and museums in Russia.
During the forum, Abeer al-Kuwari and Lulua al-Nuaimi will sign memorandums of understanding (MoU) with the Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (known as the Peter the Great Museum), the oldest museum in Russia, and the St Petersburg Museum of Islamic Culture, the newest in Russia. QNL's Pavilion includes more than 50 Qatari institutions, bodies, companies, senior political figures, officials, businessmen and heads of civil society bodies and organisations.
 
Among them are: Qatar Foundation (QF), Qatar Financial Center (QFC), and the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), Qatar Investment Promotion Authority, Qatar Development Bank, and Barzan Holdings. It is worth noting that the SPIEF 2021 is one of the unique international forums and events in the world of business.
 
It has been held since 1997, and since 2006 the forum has been held under the auspices of the president of the Russia, and over the past 24 years, the forum has become a prominent global platform for members of the business community.
