QNTC Orders Temporary Closure for Clubs and Bars in Qatar Due to Covid-19 Outbreak

Due to the widespread coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) recently issued instructions to temporarily close clubs of (A) and (C) categories in Qatar.
The government institution circulated a memo to all hotels and tourism establishments in the country, stating mandatory closures of all specialized clubs to prevent the spread of the virus.
QNTC added that shutting down the commercial entertainment hubs on this unprecedented situation is in the best interest of public health and safety. It further stated that avoiding the gathering of large crowds in public or such places with opportunities for contact among its users will limit COVID-19 transmission.
