QOC Honors Who Contributed to the Success of Doha's Bid for 2030 Asian Games

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) honored those who contributed to the success of Doha's hosting of the 2030 Asian Games, at a ceremony held today at Barahat Msheireb.
 
The ceremony was attended by HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and Chairman of Doha 2030 Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, and HE First Vice President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al-Thani, HE President of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) Dr. Eng. Saad Al Mohannadi, and HE Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Thawadi.
 
 
At the beginning of the ceremony, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani delivered a speech in which he said: "More than two months ago, we submitted to the Olympic Council of Asia the Doha file to host the 2030 Asian Games, and many years before that, we have been working with many to prepare a comprehensive file to ensure that Qatar will host the second Asian Games after Doha succeeded in hosting the 2006 Games."
 
His Excellency went on saying that this victory in reality is a promise that we made in the name of our beloved country for the sports community in Asia, and it is no secret to all of us that this is only the beginning, and we have a lot to accomplish in the coming days and years in order to fulfill our promises, with our deep appreciation for everyone who stayed up and continued to work with creativity and sincerity.
 
HE the President of Qatar Olympic Committee said, "We will embark on a new phase of continuous, serious and professional work, starting from now until the announcement of the end of the session, and even beyond (our ambition has no limits as long as you are our team), especially as we work according to the strategy of achieving and building the national and continental legacy. "
