QSE Index Falls 1.50 Percent in May

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 163.14 points,1.50 percent, in May when the bourse closed today afternoon at 10,748.26 points.
Trading value during the April accounted QR 9,306,933,420.509 and the trading volume reached 4,128,652,878 with 187,814 transactions.
Market capitalization accounted QR 624,421,235,139.100 as compared to QR 630,878,247,644.870 at the end of May.
Banking and Financial Services sector decreased 9.77 points (0.22 percent) to 4,495.51 points and Consumer Goods and Services sector dropped 116.67 points (1.40 percent) to 8,215.98 points.
 
Industries sector fell to 105.79 points (2.90 percent) to 3,542.15 and the Insurance sector added 25.43 points (0.96 percent) to 2,676.73 points.
The Real Estate sector lost 8.91 points (0.47 percent) to 1,894.77 points. The Telecom sector down 28.05 points (2.58 percent) to 1,059.99 points and Transportation sector dropped 71.87 points (2.07 percent) to 3,406.17 points.
From the 48 listed companies 30 ended this month higher, while 18 lower. (QNA)
