QU, Qatar Charity Sign MoU for Cooperation in Areas of Development, Humanitarian Work

(QC) Qatar University (QU) and Qatar Charity (QC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint cooperation in the areas of development and humanitarian work.

The MoU was signed by President of QU Dr. Hassan Al Derham, and CEO of QC Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.

A QU press release said the MoU emphasized on the cooperation and methods of collaboration between the two entities, especially in the fields of development and humanitarian work and utilization of cooperation in other possible fields of mutual interest for both parties.

The two parties affirmed their endeavor, through signing this agreement, to achieve the following objectives such as educating students about Qatar Charity's work, preparing students to volunteer, promoting the values of solidarity and social work among university students, and supporting students.

Organizing special events to serve the common goals of both parties, exchanging information and experiences, jointly attending conferences and events related to the areas of the agreement.

 

Commenting on the occasion Qatar University President Dr. Hassan Al Derham said: "The signing of this memorandum comes within the framework of Qatar University's constant endeavor to cooperate with all institutions interested in supporting the university's march towards betterment of the Qatari community. This MoU seeks to organize and develop distinguished relation between Qatar University and Qatar Charity in many areas."

CEO of QC Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari said: "This agreement will play a fundamental role in developing and enhancing community participation towards Qatar National Vision 2030. This agreement encourages students to work as volunteer for their community."

He said this agreement will contribute on spreading awareness about the culture of volunteering for humanitarian work. Students will be engaged in charitable initiatives, enhancing their expertise and capabilities in this field.
