The Al-Rayyan Municipality has announced that it would press ahead with the second phase of a campaign that seeks to rid the municipality of all accommodation facilities that house workers.
The “Rayyan without workers' housing” campaign, which began a month ago, checks violations of a law that prohibits workers staying in residential areas reserved for families.

Municipal inspectors, along with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), are carrying out inspections in several residential areas within the municipality. While inhabitants from several houses have been asked to vacate as part of the campaign, the municipal authorities said they would initiate legal action against the violators and vowed to continue the campaign until all violations are caught.
