Region likely to witness northwesterly winds until June 14: QMD

In its weather forecast, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has reported that northwesterly fresh to strong winds (Bawarih) is likely to continue affecting the region during the daytime until the next week.
 
The report stated that the winds will vary in speed between 15 and 25 knots, gusting to 30 knots in some places at times, causing blowing dust especially in the open areas, according to the report by QMD.
 
 
A marine warning has also been issued by the weather department for strong winds and high seas as it is likely to be witnessed from Monday evening, with the wave height ranging from 4-8ft and rising to 12ft at times.
 
QMD also added that hot weather will continue be in place during the day and the maximum temperature will be varying between 36 and 48C and the minimum from 24-34C.
 
QMD has called on all the citizen and public in the country to be careful and to keep themselves posted about the latest weather updates through its official accounts.
