An Egyptian national and his son have died after drowning at a lake in The Pearl.

A young child and his father lost their lives after drowning at the Pearl lake on Thursday evening. 

Witnesses say the boy was playing by the lake and slipped inside, his father ran after his son in an attempt to save him but both father and son sadly died. 

We are deeply saddened by the drowning incident that killed a father and his son earlier at The Pearl-Qatar.

Our deepest condolences to their family and may God give them patience and fortitude. The Pearl-Qatar said in a tweet on Thursday.
