He explained that his assumption of the position of ambassador of the Qatar Legacy Program is motivating and good, this will give him the opportunity to correct misconceptions about this region of the world, especially since he lived in Qatar and socialized with its people and touched the extent of their generosity, hospitality and love, as well as the development in the issue of expatriate workers and the ideal conditions in which they work.
He believed that football is capable of change, and this is the most beautiful thing about it. Therefore, he will seek to bring closer views regarding misconceptions about the region so that the fans who will come to watch the World Cup in Qatar has correct information, ideas and good concepts about the Arab region.
Regarding some criticisms of the Qatar World Cup, de Boer considered that the criticism is focused on the issue of employment, and that it is one of the topics that must be discussed, so he assumed the position of ambassador for the World Cup Qatar in order to clarify this picture, especially as things are going in continuous improvement.
Regarding the levels of the Qatar national team in the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, he explained that the Qatari national team's participation in these competitions is a good experience, especially in light of its contact with large and different teams, and then gaining experiences that contribute to the development of the levels of its players significantly.
