The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities participated in the art contest organised by the Unesco Center Louis François in Troyes, France and has won several prizes in different categories of the competition.
The Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, Laalei Abu Alfain, has emphasised that the Shafallah Center participates permanently in all local and international art competitions.
The Center is interested in promoting the recognition of children and youth, and working to include them in the memory of humanity, through their participation in educational, cultural and artistic activities,” she said. Abu Alfain also said that the Shafallah Center participated in art contest organised by the Unesco Center Louis François in Troyes, France with six artworks and Qatar is the only Arab country to participate in the international competition.
“This is one of the largest international competitions for children’s drawings at the international level, where about 60 countries from different parts of the world took part, and the approximately 3,000 drawings were submitted by participants,” she said.
The Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities has won nine medals and among those four were gold medals, two silver medals. In April 2021, all art works submitted by the of Shafallah Center for the competition were accepted and they were given certificates of participation.
