Low-cost carrier Air Arabia will resume daily direct flights between Sharjah and Doha, with the first flight on January 18, 2021, it announced today, January 14, 2021 via Twitter.

The announcement comes after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reopened its land borders and airspace to Qatar on Saturday, following the signing of the Al-Ula Declaration in Saudi Arabia during the GCC Summit.

This also marks the first flight by a UAE carrier since the recent Al Ula agreement, which lifted the restrictions UAE had placed on ties with Qatar in 2017.
