Sri Lanka to send 16 athletes for Asian Championships in Qatar

The Athletic Association of Sri Lanka (AASL) are wanting to send a squad of 16 competitors to the inevitable Asian Championship to be held Qatar this end of the week 21– 24 April.
Sri Lanka has gotten a portion of 14 competitors and three authorities for the occasion, yet after the two preliminaries held to choose the competitors, the Athletic Association of Sri Lanka (AASL) are wanting to send a squad of 16 competitors which would empower Sri Lanka to enter a Women's 4x400m transfer group at the challenge.
The primary preliminary delivered two national records as Greshan Dananjaya made history in the Men's Triple hop while Sri Lanka's quickest sprinter, Himasha Eshan broke his very own National and South Asian record in the Men's 100m.
In the second and last preliminary, the best execution originated from Nimali Liyanarachchi who for the second time ran a great time in the Women's 800m falling a horrifying 0.1 seconds shy of the National record timing 2:02.65 mins. Olympian and Commonwealth finalist Sumedha Ranasinghe was back in his typical structure where he dealt with a toss of 79.65m in the Javelin going past the reported standard by the AASL.
Himasha Eshan and Vinoj Suranjaya earned capability for the Men's 100m yet Suranjaya, who had a deplorable mishap amid preparing in the run-up to the second preliminary, should experience a wellness test to be qualified to be a piece of the visiting unforeseen.
