State of Qatar takes part in the 48th meeting of GSO’s technical council

The State of Qatar took part in the 48th meeting of the Technical Council of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), which was conducted virtually.
 
 
During the meeting, the State of Qatar was represented by the Chairperson of Qatar General Organization for Standardization and Metrology (QGOSM) Engineer Mohammed bin Saud Al Musallam.
 
 
 
During the meeting, they discussed the report on the workflow of the Gulf technical committees for standards, as well as GSO's memorandum on the evaluation of the Gulf technical committees for the year 2020, and a memo regarding the technical work guide for standardization.
 
 
The meeting also addressed the results that came from the 31st meeting of the Steering Committee for Metrology and the report of the Chairperson of the GCC metrology group from November - March of 2021.
 
 
In addition to this, the meeting was also held with discussion on the memorandum from the GSOs presidency regarding the guideline of product safety and market survey and the enhancements of the GCC conformity system, along with the memorandum regarding the fifth meeting of the steering committee for recruitment.
 
 
In connection to the areas of corporate services, the attendees of the meeting reviewed the memorandum of the GSO's presidency on the unified financial system for standardization services, while in the field of strategy, they reviewed the memorandum of GSO's presidency on the strategic plan of GSO for the period from 2021 to 2025, in addition to the updates that emerged during the 48th meeting.
