Qatars beach volleyball pair Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan won the Silver Medal of the 4-stars FIVB Cancun Hub - 2nd event.

The Qatari team won the second place after losing the final match (2-0) to world number one pairing Anders Mol and Christian Sorum of Norway.

The Qatari team won the Silver Medal of the first round of the tournament also after losing to the Norwegian team in the final.

Mexico is set to host the 4-star FIVB - 3rd event in Cancun next week.

The FIVB announced that Team Qatar duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan are among the top 15 teams in the direct qualification ranking for the Tokyo 2020 tournament in Japan.

According to the FIVB classification, the Qatari duo is ranked in advanced positions in the Olympic qualifiers and the world classification of teams.
