Tunisia's Malek Jaziri reached Tuesday the next round of Qatar ExxonMobil Open after defeating Slovakia's Norbert Gombos 7-5, 6-2.
The Tunisian player is set to meet World no. 26 Borna Coric but the latter withdrew due to a shoulder injury. Jaziri is currently the world no. 262. He expressed his delight with today's win, saying he was pleased to eventually win a very difficult match. He thanked the Qatari federation and the organizing committee for the invitation. He will next play with Nikoloz Basilashvili next on Wednesday.
