The Ministry of Justice Accredits a New Batch of Qatari Real Estate Brokers

A new batch of accredited real estate brokers took legal oath on Wednesday at the real estate brokers committee in the Ministry of Justice.

The new batch included 14 brokers (individuals and companies) raising the total number operating in Qatar since the new law to 153 Qatari brokers registered at the department. This is the 10th batch since law no. 22 of 2017 on regulating real estate brokers came into effect. It is part of the Ministry of Justice's efforts to regulate the field in a way that serves the national economy and helps realize Qatar National Vision 2030.

The department of real estate brokerages handles the application process in coordination with the training department in the center for legal and judicial studies. The two sides ensure that the applicant satisfies all the requirements needed to carry out the job. Requirements include being a Qatari national with a clean criminal record and a headquarters that is suitable for the real estate brokerage operations. The department also carries out a training program for real estate brokers.
