On its weather report for the weekend, Qatar Meteorology Department has predicted hazy weather conditions, at first, followed by hot daytime with some clouds and relative humidity at night.
On Saturday, there is a chance of scattered rain at some places during the afternoon.
The minimum and maximum temperatures for the next two days will vary between 31 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius, respectively

First solo exhibition of Qatari artist Asma al-Mannai
Just opened at the Qatar Museums’ Fire Station art venue featuring a collection of passing moments and experiences depicted using different methods and mediums, including drawing, painting, water colour and ink.
The exhibition titled, “Asma Al-Mannai: Colourful Moments” will run until October 24 at the Doha Fire Station: Artist in Residence, from 9am to 7pm between Saturday and Thursdays, and from 1.30pm to 7pm on Fridays.
QM implemented protocols in accordance with recommendations from Qatar’s Health Protection and Communicable Disease Control Office of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
In keeping with the guidelines set by MoPH, a limited number of visitors and staff will be allowed at the Fire Station at any given time.
Upon arrival, visitors will be required to present a “green” health status on the Ehteraz virus-tracing app. Masks are required for all visitors (12 years of age and older).
Each person will also be checked for a normal temperature reading at the entrance. Visitors who have a temperature or do not have a mask will not be allowed into the Fire Station

Northwestern Qatar’s museum – the Media Majlis – is exploring the disruption and how journalism has responded in its latest exhibition, which is open to the public.
Breaking News? how the smartphone changed journalism examines how mobile technology connects personal and professional lives – enabling access to a world flooded with information and disinformation, including deep fakes, citizen journalism, and opinions misconstrued as fact.
The Media Majlis is open to the public and accepting private bookings in September and October to support social distancing. Bookings can be made for up to 10 people through the museum’s website.
Artist in the time of Covid-19
Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is hosting “Artists in the time of COVID-19” exhibition from September 4 to October 3, 2020, at the contemporary art space, The White Majlis, where art lovers and museum visitors can elevate their tour with an exceptional experience and inspiring pieces of art done by Qatar based creative artists and young talents.
The exhibitions will be open during regular museum opening hours:

- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Friday: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The eight edition of Ajyal Film Festival - flagship of Doha Film Institute (DFI) is set to take place from November 18 to 23 in a new hybrid format.
DFI has started accepting juror applications from Qatar and beyond for this year’s popular annual children’s festival.

As per previous weeks, Qatar Museums (QM) major exhibitions at the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) continues.
Visitors are required to reserve tickets in advance on the QM website. During the visit they must present a “green” health status on the Ehteraz virus-tracing app and wear face masks for the duration of their visit.

The exhibition features 108 extraordinary artworks by Pablo Picasso selected from the unparalleled collection of the Musée national Picasso in Paris, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and ceramics.
The museums, galleries and heritage sites are open between the hours of 9am to 3pm. According to the current situation, visitors are required to reserve tickets in advance on the QM website. Those of 12 years of age and older are required to wear masks, present a “green” health status on the Ehteraz virus tracing app and are checked for normal temperature at the entrance.
