Three-month training programme for new jurists commences

The Legal and Judicial Studies Center at the Ministry of Justice has started the work of the three-month programme of special training courses for new jurists.
A total of 65 trainees from various legal authorities in the country benefit from the training programme, divided into four groups.
The training programme comprises programmes and workshops that include various legal tracks and skills that support government agencies in their various fields of work.
The training courses for the programme are distributed according to the requirements and needs of the concerned authorities and the training objectives. The training plan for the legal specialised courses for the year 2021 includes more than 90 specialised courses aimed at developing the skills and expertise of the beneficiaries in various legal disciplines.
 
The training programme came after Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, issued Resolution No. (4) of 2021 for the Training Regulations at the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry of Justice, which stipulated that the Center would implement training programmes for judges and their assistants, members of the Public Prosecution Office and their assistants, and candidates from the Supreme Judicial Council or the Attorney General for appointment to positions in the judiciary and the Public Prosecution.
The training programme’s comprehensiveness was taken into account in the preparation of the various fields related to the work of government agencies and the jurisdiction of legal affairs in these agencies, as it includes the areas of developing negotiation skills, managing legal problems, legal protection of public and private state properties, legal drafting of legislation and regulations and skills of preparing legal studies and research.
It also deals with the provisions of the permanent constitution of the state, the jurisdiction and skills of preparing defenses before the judiciary, and the legal system for contracting and electronic signature.
The specialised courses scheduled for new jurists during the following three months also deal with the legal mechanisms for combating money laundering and terrorist financing crimes in Qatari law, the legal organisation for adjudicating administrative disputes, the skills of preparing and drafting statement of claim, memoranda and pleadings, the art of pleading, jurisdiction, provisions of civil evidence, and the regulating foundations to implement judgments, judicial orders, implementation problems, banking transaction disputes and judicial applications, skills for preparing and drafting legislation, regulations and administrative decisions, and other specialised courses that can be viewed through the website of the Ministry of Justice.
The candidates can join the specialised legal training courses through Mawared, and fill out the nomination form for the specialised courses that include the name of the course, the name of the candidate, the date of the meeting, and the educational qualification.
