Training Course for Customs Employees on Preparedness to Nuclear Emergencies Concludes

A national training course for customs employees on preparedness and response to nuclear or radiological emergencies at border crossings concluded.

Sixty employees took part in the five-day course which was organized by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Radiation and Chemicals Protection Department, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The training course comes within the technical cooperation programs between the State of Qatar and the IAEA under the project "Strengthening National Capabilities in the Field of Preparedness and Response to Radiological and Nuclear Emergencies", and as part of the national capacity building programs.
