Travel Guide for Indians Flying to and from Qatar This Pandemic

Indian airlines, including IndiGo, are all set to fly you from India to destinations abroad and back to India as well. However, flying in the new normal comes with a new set of regulations. Please ensure you complete all the requirements so as to enjoy a hassle-free and safe journey throughout.
For passengers from India to Qatar (Doha)
1. Customer Categories Allowed to Travel:
2. Visa on arrival is not available and customers seeking the same are not allowed to travel
3. Customers travelling must carry an exceptional return permit allowing them to return to Qatar which will state the type and number of days of quarantine
4. Customers travelling are required to be in possession of a confirmed hotel reservation in one of the designated quarantine hotels for a period of minimum 7 days or as stated in the exceptional return permit issued by the Qatar Government Authorities.
5. The designated quarantine hotels can booked through Discover Qatar before arriving into the State of Qatar
6. Customers are also required to undergo a PCR test on arrival
7. Customer under hotel quarantine will be required to do a PCR test on day six of their quarantine, and according to the test result, passengers will be required to follow procedures published on the Ministry of Public Health, Government of Qatar website
8. Exceptional Entry Permit issued for Domestic staff, company sponsored and other workers will state that they need to hotel quarantine for 14 days. Staff must ensure that such customers be accepted in accordance with the hotel bookings as per the requirement stated on the “Exceptional Entry Permits”
All customers must fill out two forms and submit upon arrival to the authorities

Flying into India: State-wise guidelines
1). West Bengal
1. All passengers should have an active Indian local SIM. They can use their existing active local sim, or ask their relatives/family members to activate their local sim before arrival, or they can buy a new sim card from the airport.
2. All passengers travelling to India and arriving at any of the airports in West Bengal, on charter flights only, are required to submit self-declaration online on Air Suvidha portal at least 72 hours before the date of travel
3. All passengers must carry a negative RT-PCR test report issued within 96 hours of the departure and must upload the same on Air Suvidha portal at least 72 hours before departure. Post submission, passengers shall be issued approval/NOC, subject to the fulfilment of criteria laid down by the State Health Authorities. If the approval/NOC is applied within 72 hours of departure, timely approval may not be guaranteed
4. All passengers must carry the original RT-PCR negative certificate and the copy of approval/NOC received on Air Suvidha Portal
5. All passengers are required to undergo a mandatory home quarantine for 14 days
6. Passengers not carrying the RT-PCR negative certificate and the approval/NOC shall not be allowed to travel
7. Asymptomatic passengers carrying RT-PCR negative report/certificate shall be allowed to take onward flight

9. Eligibility to travel to India: Stranded Indian nationals; All Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders holding UAE passports, and UAE nationals (including diplomats) holding valid visa issued by an Indian Mission in any category covered under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines dated 30.06.2020
2). Kartanaka
1. All passengers should have an active Indian local SIM. They can use their existing active local sim, or ask their relatives/family members to activate their local sim before arrival, or they can buy a new sim card from the airport.
2. All passengers travelling to India and arriving at any of the airports in Karnataka are required to submit self-declaration online on Yatri Karnataka portal at least 72 hours before the date of travel.
3. All passengers must have the Aarogya Setu app, Quarantine Watch app and Apthamitra app downloaded on their mobile phones. Click here to download
4. All passengers shall be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, upon arrival into Karnataka
5. All passengers who are found asymptomatic upon arrivals must undergo a mandatory Home Quarantine for 14 days
6. All passengers who are found symptomatic upon arrivals shall be sent to Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHC) for further testing.
7. If the test result is positive, passengers shall be further advised for home isolation or shall be shifted to medical facility as found appropriate by competent authorities
8. If the test result is negative, they shall be required to undergo home quarantine for 14 days
9. Business and/or short term visitors intending to stay in Karnataka for less than 48 hr, shall be exempted from the Quarantine and COVID-19 test
10. Business and/or short term visitors intending to stay in Karnataka for more than 48 hr. but less than 7 days shall be exempted from quarantine provided they get tested for COVID-19 upon arrival and the test results are negative
11. Business and/or short term visitors intending to stay in Karnataka shall be exempted from Quarantine provided they are able to present the following documents:
12. Passengers wanting to take onward flight to any other state, shall be allowed to do so provided that are found asymptomatic and agree to undergo home quarantine for 14 days after reaching their final destination

14. Eligibility to travel to India: Stranded Indian nationals; All Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders holding UAE passports, and UAE nationals (including diplomats) holding valid visa issued by an Indian Mission in any category covered under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines dated 30.06.2020
3). Other Indian States
1. All passengers should have an active Indian local SIM. They can use their existing active local sim, or ask their relatives/family members to activate their local sim before arrival, or they can buy a new sim card from the airport.
2. All passengers must submit a self-declaration form on Air Suvidha portal and declare their consent for self-paid institutional quarantine.
3. Any passenger arriving into India and seeking exemption from institutional quarantine may apply for the same on Air Suvidha portal 72 hr before departure if they fall under any of the following five categories:
4. As per Government of India’s guidelines, international passengers arriving into India are permitted to take onward flights only after they have completed mandatory quarantine at the first port of entry into India or are exempted from being quarantined.

Note: Passengers arriving on Vande Bharat flights from Doha, Kuwait, Dammam and Riyadh must undergo quarantine and make their own arrangements as per the arrival city/state's guidelines. This is mandatory before flying to another domestic destination, failing which passengers will be denied boarding.
