Visit visas reopening news for Indians untrue, elucidates Embassy

The Embassy of India in Qatar has elucidated that the country has not yet commenced issuing a new visit visa, family visas or even tourist visas for those who desired to come to Qatar.
This statement is made after a post went viral on social media in Qatar which stated that the visit visas and visa on arrival to the region has been recommenced.
The Embassy of Qatar in twitter said that, "To prevent and control the spread of the pandemic, Qatar is not issuing new visit visa / family / tourist visas. The social media posts that the visit visas and visa on arrival have reopened in Qatar are FALSE".
The Embassy also further clarified that it is in touch with the Qatar authorities regarding the matter.
