His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani conveyed New Year greetings to the people on Friday.

"We welcome the year 2021 and we hope that it will be better, God willing ... and that the difficulties and challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic will be overcome. I congratulate everyone on the New Year and I wish our people and all of humanity good and peace," he wrote on Twitter.
