Weather Outlook for Today Until Oct. 15 in Qatar: Meteorology Department

The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has been issuing Seasonal Climate Outlooks as an attempt to provide weather outlooks on extended range time scale.

These outlooks, which are issued every Thursday on an experimental basis, cover four weekly averaged forecasts of rainfall, near surface winds, maximum and minimum temperature fields in our region.

Based on the model forecasts available as on September 16, the following is the outlook for the next four weeks:

Rainfall: Model Forecasts indicate no chances for rainfall activity in Qatar in the next four weeks (18 Sep – 15 Oct).

Wind: Model predicted weekly mean wind patterns does not show much chances for the occurrence of Shamals in the next four weeks (18 Sep – 15 Oct).

Maximum temperature: The day time (maximum) temperatures are expected to be near normal in Qatar in the next four weeks (18 Sep – 15 Oct). The weekly mean maximum temperatures are likely to be in the range of 32–40°c and with generally higher temperatures over the southern parts.

Minimum temperature: The night time (minimum) temperatures are expected to be near normal in Qatar in the next four weeks (18 Sep – 15 Oct). The weekly mean minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 24-32°c.

Relative Humidity: The relative humidity values are expected to be above normal in the next four weeks (18 Sep – 15 Oct). The weekly mean relative humidity is expected to be in the range of 50 – 60 %

 

 

The maps shown below are self-explanatory and are expected to provide a general outlook of expected weather for the next four weeks. However, for day to day weather forecasts one should refer to the Forecast section of QMD website. Given that we update these outlooks every Thursday, the forecasts for the later part of the month may vary and so we encourage users to check our updated outlooks every week.
