The Mall Launches its Much-awaited PC Assembly Competition, Releases New Episode of the Popular FFTV and Celebrates March 8th with an exclusive giveaway


Three rounds of the PC Assembly Competition, showcasing judges from Qatar’s prominent business and tech community, will be aired on Doha Festival City’s social media channels

A special social media competition will be organized for International Women’s Day in partnership with l’Occitane

FFTV’s most recent episode is dedicated to children and teens in this edition



Doha, Qatar – 4 March 2021: As part of its exciting International Festival, Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, has launched an exclusive PC assembly competition that will be covered in three epsidoes on the Mall’s social media channels in March.


Under the umbrella of Festival City’s Tech Festival, the PC Assembly competition is part of the Mall’s commitment to supporting tech literacy and development in Qatar, by encouraging tech lovers to showcase their skills, whilst empowering the local community.


Candidates taking part in the PC Assembly contest will have to demonstrate their technology skills and quick thinking abilities to assemble all computer items correctly and come up with a functioning PC as the end goal. Two participants will compete against each other in each round of the competition. 


Each episode will shed light on the participants’ skills, where judges will run a thorough inspection of participants’ results. One winner will be announced at the end of every round, and will receive a custom gaming PC from Geeknation and FNAC. 


To celebrate the International Women’s Day, Doha Festival City will install greeting messages across the mall and change its exterior lighting to purple on the 8th of March. An interactive Butterfly-wings stand will be installed in the luxury area for ladies to take pictures and celebrate this special moment at Doha Festival City. An exciting ladies-only photo competition will also be held in partnership with L’Occitane. To participate, ladies will have to take a picture with the wings, post it on their Instagram account, while following @dohafestcity and @loccitaneme accounts. Three winners will be announced on March 14th on Doha Festival City instagrame stories, and will receive three shea butter sets offered by l’Occitane to pamper themselves suring this special month of March.


Furthermore, Festival City also launched a new episode of ‘FFTV’ on February 28th, featuring Elisabete Reis, an image consultant and founder of Glam Your Image. 


This FFTV episode was dedicated to children and teens, where Elisabete Reis – who is also a mom of three – shared tips that are useful for mothers supporting their teen children during their age transition.  Elisabete visited Tally Wejl and Tommy Hilfiger kids stores to pick the most suitable outfits items for those In the teen years.


With an unmatched diversity of stores for all ages, Festival City is Qatar’s favourite destination for shopping for both girls and boys of all ages.
