World's largest calisthenics park opened in Qatar

H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, inaugurated Tuesday the Calisthenics park in Meqdam camp, in conjunction with the National Sports Day.
 
The park has entered the Guinness World Records for being the most important of its kind within the world.
 
According to Guinness World Records, "the largest calisthenics park measures 1446.72 m² (15572 ft² 67 in²) and was achieved by the service Academy (Qatar), in Doha, Qatar, on 4 February 2021.
 
National Service Academy attempted this record title to celebrate Qatar's sports day, which's on the 9th of February. The calisthenics park both holds national calisthenics tournaments and is open for the overall public to use."
 
The ceremony was attended by H.E. Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and variety of ranking officers within the soldiers .
 
On the sidelines of the ceremony, H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs received the Guinness World Records certificate, via video conference technology.
