Due to the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in both Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi has updated its green list.

Now, citizens and residents travelling to Abu Dhabi from Doha will have to go through self-isolation

Travelers from Qatar, Bahrain, Maldives, Oman, Thailand, Falkland Islands and St. Kitts and Nevis will have to quarantine upon arrival to Abu Dhabi starting from February 7, authorities stated.

There are 18,596 active cases in the UAE, according to the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority. And 7,558 in Qatar, according to the Ministry of Public Health.

Accordingly, attempting to flatten the curves, both countries have announced imposing restrictions. Qatar reduced the numbers allowed to gather indoors and outdoors, whereas, Abu Dhabi banned all parties and gatherings, closed all movie theaters.

With countries re-imposing COVID-19 restrictions, fears, and concerns of a potential second wave are rising.
