H.E. Ambassador Sheikha Alya joins virtual meeting on Climate Action with UN official

H.E. Ambassador Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (U.N.) took part in the virtual meeting of the Climate Action Advisory Group (2020-2021) in the context of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The said assembly is chaired by the Deputy Secretary-General (DSG) of the U.N. Amina Mohammed. They discussed about the U.N. official’s strategy on Climate Action within the new reality of Covid-19, according to H.E. Ambassador Sheikha Alya on her Twitter page.

 

 

 

DSG Amina Mohammed have been actively conducting virtual meetings with the Member State Advisory Group on Climate and leaders in World Econimic Forum. 

She said on her official Twitter account:

"We know #COVID19 to be a health, humanitarian & now a development emergency. Peacebuilding Commission bringing us together to renew our commitment to predictable financing & strong partnerships for sustainable development, human rights, humanitarian action & #peacebuilding."
